Bright and early on Saturday 12th June, a three-strong team from PHM successfully took the 160-foot leap from the top of Guildford Cathedral’s tower as part of a fundraising abseil event for local children’s charity Challengers.
After the event was delayed for almost a year as a result of the pandemic, Lisa, Lou and Debbie had plenty of time to get nervous, but also for fundraising and we’re absolutely delighted to have raised over £2,700 so far!
Team PHM was first up on the day, and every member had a (relatively) smooth descent from the tower after an arduous climb up the Cathedral’s spiral staircase. The prize for style went to Debbie, who bravely completed her abseil in a Spiderman all-in-one suit!
Challengers is a fantastic charity based in Guildford which we have supported for many years. They work tirelessly to provide an inclusive, safe and fun environment for disabled children and young people, and to support their families.
