OUR STORY
We build expert-led comms strategies for national and regional property developers, housing associations and property-led companies.
Our work and the advice we provide is underpinned by years of experience, but we don’t believe in doing what has always been done; we think and work creatively – looking above and beyond the obvious to catch the attention of your audience.
OUR APPROACH
01
PR IN THE
MODERN ERA
PR is about more than media coverage and we’re a full-service PR agency. Media coverage is a large part of it – whether the objective is brand awareness or lead generation – but there is more to it than that. PR is about managing – and improving – stakeholder perception of your brand. It involves introductions, relationship building, engagement and reputation bolstering.
02
CHANGING MEDIA
LANDSCAPE
The stories we pitch to journalists and influencers must fit the news agenda and add value for the reader, which requires insight and human interest. More and more, direct sales messages achieve media coverage not through glossy editorial, but digital sponsored content, paid-for blog coverage and SEO links.
At PHM, we’ll do both. We’ll build awareness of your brand and shape your reputation, but we’ll also generate sales leads through media coverage using the most impactful methods.
03
COMBINING PR
AND MARKETING
The line continues to blur. We will work with your marketing agencies, your SEO providers and your ad team, to create a cohesive strategy that ensures real results across your owned, earned and paid channels. PR, brand and digital marketing must work together.
OUR TEAM

Nikki Ackerley
Managing Director
Nikki joined The Surrey Advertiser as property correspondent in 1991, a role she held for 15 years and one which won her the accolade of Regional Property Correspondent of the Year. A year after joining the paper, Nikki was asked to undertake some PR for a local estate agent and a developer, and PHM was formed. In 2015, she was named one of Surrey’s top 50 business women by Surrey Chamber of Commerce. Nikki’s network of contacts spans the property industry and the journalists with whom PHM works. She can put a name to most faces and would notice a rogue apostrophe from a mile away!
