External CGI of Trinity Walk, Woolwich by Lovell Homes

Across town with the costs down!

News hit last week that millions of rail users in the UK will see the price of regulated rail fares rise by up to 3.6% this month. With commuters said to be the worst-hit by the increase, which is the highest since January 2013, we’ve taken a look at homes ideally located near alternative modes of transport which provide more beneficial routes in to work both financially and in terms of health.

Trinity Walk by Lovell Homes is situated in Woolwich, South East London meaning you can fly to work via the Emirates Air Line, which provides a cable car link across the River Thames between the Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Victoria Docks. This quirky mode of transport is operated by Transport for London and the duration of a single crossing is reduced to just five minutes in rush hour. Prices start at £3.50 per ticket each way, which equates to just £161 per calendar month if there is the maximum of 23 working days in the month. If you’re afraid of heights, why not take the River Bus Express, which operates from 20 piers between Putney and Woolwich. Your journey is made even easier now you can use contactless or Oyster cards to pay.

The homes at Chiswick Gate, which are available through shared ownership with Thames Valley Housing, are conveniently located to give residents access to a wide number of cycle paths in and around Chiswick. These paths provide residents with an alternative and active route in to work, and is also both economical and environmentally friendly, plus you can ride by Chiswick House and Gardens for a more scenic route.

At PHM we like to keep up with the latest goings-on, so make sure you check out our other blogs to see what we’ve been up to and for some of our top PR tips and opinions!

A brewing scene: Homes near boutique breweries

According to research, the ongoing trend for boutique brewing is having an effect on property prices. The 28 London areas that are home to independent breweries have increased in value by up to 105%* over the last five years.

It seems craft ale is quickly becoming the connoisseur’s drink of choice, and we’ve decided to take a look at some homes located close to a range of niche bars and breweries:

Sambrook’s Brewery, located just a 14-minute walk from Vista by Berkeley Homes, is a specialist London Craft Brewery and bar located in Battersea. Using traditional brewing techniques alongside carefully selected ingredients, their brewers blend to create exceptionally tasting British beers. Vista comprises a collection of luxurious one, two and three-bedroom apartments and offers the best of both worlds; situated just moments from vibrant Chelsea yet directly opposite Battersea Park.

Prices start from £895,000, please call 0203 811 2012 or visit berkeleygroup.co.uk for more information.

The Shared Ownership one-bedroom apartments at Chiswick Gate, available to purchase through Thames Valley Housing, are just a seven-minute stroll from The Fuller’s Griffin Brewery and The Mawson Arms. The brewery dates back to 1828 and has been brewing for more than 160 years; it offers a range of exclusive ales, limited editions and rare gifts in the brewery shop. Chiswick Gate is ideally located for homeowners to enjoy close proximity to the cosmopolitan buzz of Central London while benefitting from the more relaxed style of life found in leafy West London.

Prices start from £159,000 for a 30% share (full marketing price £530,000) and just a 5% deposit required (£7,950). For more information please call 0208 607 0550 or visit tvhsales.co.uk/chiswickgate.

Property House Marketing is sponsoring the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards

We’re pleased to be supporting the First Time Buyer Awards on 21st April, as sponsors of the ‘Most Innovative Redevelopment of an Existing Property’ category. Having prepared many entries on behalf of our clients over the years, and attending the awards ceremony to celebrate the winners, we’re excited to formally support and recognise those who work so hard for first-time buyers in the UK.

If you have a ticket to attend this year’s celebrations, look out for the team who will be happy to toast your success or to simply have a good natter – or both!

We’ll also be keeping our fingers crossed for our client, Thames Valley Housing, shortlisted for Affordable Housing Provider of the Year. There is still time to cast your vote and ensure that your choice of forward-thinking and innovative housing association scoops the winning title.

Our sponsorship also gives us the opportunity to talk about our award-writing history. In the last 21 years, we’ve prepared over 1,316 award entries, where one in three goes on to win a top prize.

If you’ve worked on a project or development of which you are particularly proud, and you are thinking about entering the world of glittering award ceremonies, please give us a call on 01483 561119.
