Oakhill Park chosen to showcase benefits of new builds
Oakhill Park, a luxury collection of flats, in Putney, was chosen as an example of why new builds are just as good as buying 2nd hand properties, in the Property Supplement of last weekend’s Daily Telegraph.
Fiona Brandhorst’s piece, titled Buy new: you have to see it to believe it, starts by declaring that out of those questioned, 46% said they were unlikely to buy a new build, according to a recent survey by Home Builders Federation.
The article then moves on to testimony from Pip Beasley, a buyer at Oakhill Park who we recently spoke to. Pip, in her 50s, was originally looking for a traditional mansion-style apartment with period features – the sort of house she has always dreamed of. However, after visiting Oakhill Park, which was thoughtfully built in keeping with the period properties in Putney, Pip realised that a new build could offer her everything she wanted, and more.
Pip says: “Despite initially turning my nose up at new developments, when I visited Oakhill Park I fell in love with the idea of having a modern property, knowing that everything is easy to maintain and that I would be able to move in quickly. The rooms are well proportioned with high ceilings and there is a high-quality specification of fixtures and fittings.”
Prices at Oakhill Park start from £860,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. For more information or to book an appointment to book one of the showhomes, contact Savills on 020 3430 6920 or visit http://www.oakhillpark.co.uk.
