Fantastic coverage for our two clients in Homefocus Magazine

It’s been a great week for two of our Housing Association clients, Affinity Sutton and Thames Valley Housing, who both appeared multiple times in the Jan/Feb issue of Homefocus.

The magazine featured the case study of Paul Bunn in an article entitled “One way to have your cake and eat it”, which outlined how, through shared ownership it is possible for first time buyers to get on the housing ladder in London!

Paul bought a 64% share of a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment at Affinity Sutton’s Balmoral House in Croydon and pays just £682 a month on his mortgage and rent, which he said was “an unbelievably low cost to own a home, especially in Greater London”.

Homefocus featured another shared ownership success story with a piece about Bunmi Odubanjo, which explained how Bunmi originally bought a 50% share of a two-bedroom apartment at Thames Valley Housing’s The Serpentine, in Aylesbury, with a deposit of just £3,625. The low mortgage and rent she paid on this share enabled her to save £12,000 over the next two years, which she used secure a mortgage for the remaining 50% and now owns 100% of the home outright.

A number of the above clients’ developments also hit the headlines with Affinity Sutton’s Spectrum and The Meridian in Lewisham featuring in the magazines, as well as Thames Valley Housing ‘s Westfield House scheme Earlsfield.
