Ecoled set to light up the sweetest of cities

This December British LED luminaire experts Ecoled are lighting up the Museum of Architecture’s (MoA) Gingerbread City, and this festive exhibition is set to be a real feast for the eyes.

The display of gingerbread buildings will be designed and baked by some of the UK’s leading architects, interior designers, engineers and landscape designers and unveiled at the switching on of the lights on 6th December.

Ecoled will bring the exhibition to life with its innovate strip light range, which will be custom cut by a team of experts to fit over 100 mouth-watering gingerbread buildings that will form the scrumptious city. The architectural-grade, flexible LED lighting, provided and installed by Ecoled, is manufactured to the highest standard to ensure reliability and colour consistency, and most importantly, a glowing sugar-full spectacle.

Sponsored and masterplanned by Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design, the Gingerbread City project hopes to creatively engage the public with architecture. To coincide with the exhibition, the MoA will be running a series of workshops for children and their families in which they’ll be able design and create their own gingerbread houses.

The Gingerbread City exhibition and workshops will run from 7th to 22nd December at 10 Thurloe Place in South Kensington (just across from the V&A). For more information or to make a booking, visit
