Our client, Pelican Media launches industry-first voice control upgrade

Leading property marketing technology company, Pelican Media is preparing to launch the industry’s first voice control software across its range of marketing and sales apps, which enhances the homebuying experience for purchasers.

Pelican’s voice control upgrade will be applied across PelicanBASE, PelicanPRO and PelicanELITE. Sales consultants using these apps will be able to speak to the devices they use in the marketing suite, issuing instructions and making requests in order to, for example, bring up floorplans, CGIs and comparisons between properties instantly.

The voice control software will work across all available devices and the required information can appear on multiple screens as well as controlling the architectural model and lighting up the relevant properties.

Tony Nicol, managing director at Pelican Media, explains: “We’ve had virtual assistants on our smartphones for some time, and now with products like Amazon Echo, voice-activated technology is entering our homes. At Pelican, we keep at the forefront of changing consumer technologies, and believe that simplicity is the key to a great app. With this in mind, we believe that voice control is a natural upgrade for our existing marketing apps, creating a forward-thinking buying experience for purchasers.”

Pelican’s voice control upgrade will be available in the spring. This advancement in technology is the company’s newest innovation for 2017, which closely follows the launch of its latest app, PelicanGO. The technology has already been adopted by a number of developers and enables buyers to access regular construction updates for their property through push notifications as well as allowing them to view images, floor plans and dimensions of their new home on their smartphone.

PHM’s clients enjoyed diverse coverage in March’s edition of Showhouse magazine

Receiving press coverage always puts a spring in our step and to our delight, news of Pelican Media’s new property marketing app, which was recently showcased for the first time at an off-plan sales launch at Searcys at the top of the Gherkin, made it into this month’s Showhouse.

The piece focuses on the app itself, designed specifically for the iPad Pro, which provides users with an CGI plan of the apartments. It also give sales advisers all the information they need right at their fingertips, meaning the app is a great tool for both buyers and sales agents. Gary Patrick, regional sales director for Barratt London, the first developer to use the new technology, acknowledges that the app: “really does help the selling process as it engages interactively with the potential purchaser – we are delighted with the results”.

In addition, Pelican’s ‘Turning Heads’ advert featured in journalist Ginetta Vedrickas’ marketing column, Ad of the Month, for its simple, yet effective headline. Pelican Media showcases new property marketing app at off-plan launch of Landmark Place by Barratt London

A new property marketing app, designed and created by Pelican Media specifically for the iPad Pro, has been showcased for the first time. The app was displayed at a recent off-plan sales launch at Searcys at the top of The Gherkin to a crowd of prospective homebuyers.

The prestigious event was held by Barratt London for its Landmark Place development, which is located on the riverside by the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, and gave Pelican the first opportunity to see its new software in action as Barratt’s sales advisors met with potential buyers.

Tony Nicol, managing director at Pelican Media explains: “Our new app provides all the information sales advisers could possibly need about a new development at their fingertips. There are two major advantages to using our app, which sets us apart from other visual asset providers – firstly, the app is designed and branded to incorporate the project’s identity seamlessly, and secondly, it demonstrates just how intuitive the software is to use. This is just the beginning of our new software and we are very excited to see where it will go in the near future.
