It’s not just Tudor roses at the Hampton Court Flower Show…

American poet Ralph Waldo Emerson once said that, “the earth laughs in flowers”, and with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Flower Show in full swing at Hampton Court Palace this week, it’s not hard to see why. As well as the annual RHS Floral Marquee, filled with a gorgeous display of British and international flower varieties, this year’s event boasts masterfully-designed show gardens, an on-site farmers’ market and even a tropical butterfly sanctuary. We thought we’d add to the celebrations with this selection of homes whose gardens are teeming with beautiful plants and flowers.

Deepfield House is a spacious 1930s family home that sits on the edge of the Surrey village of Cranleigh. In addition to four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a roof terrace serving the master bedroom, the property has an idyllic garden space that encompasses a tiled patio, water feature and a summer house, set within 5.3 acres of grounds. The property is currently on the market with Grantley, with a guide price of £1,500,000.

Also on the market with Grantley is Hartwood, an elegant home occupying one wing of a magnificent Grade II Listed Georgian mansion in Shalford. Set within 13.5 acres of grounds, including private entertaining terraces and spectacular communal gardens draped in purple wisteria and bursts of floral colour throughout. The property is for sale at a guide price of £2,000,000. For further enquiries about either property, please call 01483 407620 or visit Grantley’s website

Prime Place Sevenoaks is a collection of one and two-bedroom apartments offering a luxury specification more usually associated with exclusive London developments, including a dedicated concierge service, hotel-style foyer, private business suite and under croft parking. At the heart of the development are beautifully landscaped gardens arranged over two levels. The lower Zen style courtyard provides a quiet, contemplative space with attractive circular planters and seasonal planting while the upper garden is designed as a sociable area, the perfect place to meet with friends where the soft night-time lighting creates a peaceful ambience, for relaxing on warm evenings. Prices start from £445,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. To make an appointment to see the new two-bedroom show home, please call 01732 789715 or visit their website for more info.

A successful night for PHM’s client at The Planning Awards

It was a successful night at this year’s Planning Awards for our client, Berkeley Homes. The ceremony on 21st of June saw the developer win two awards as well as a ‘highly commended’ accolade for its project Woodberry Down, one of the capital’s largest estate regeneration schemes in Finsbury Park, comprising 5,500 mixed-tenure homes, community facilities, shops and a nature reserve. The 25-year-long project is being created by Berkeley in partnership with Hackney Council, Genesis Housing, Woodberry Down Community Organisation and the Greater London Authority.

Judged by a panel of industry experts, The Planning Awards is a yearly event to celebrate professional planning work as well as recognise innovation in related activities such as placemaking, housing design and economic development.

  • Award for Planning for Housing Growth – Winner

2017 is certainly keeping spirits – and vitamin D levels – running high as a spell of beautiful weather takes us into the midsummer months. Trips to the seaside, magical festivals and glorious balmy nights with a glass of Pimm’s in hand, it’s with very good reason that we’ve christened it The Great British summer. But why not bring it to your doorstep? While the nation is walking on sunshine, we’ve pulled together a beautiful selection of properties that feature idyllic swimming pools, so you can bask in the summer haze from the comfort of your own home.

Sheaves Farmhouse, the impressive six-bedroom farmhouse designed and built to high standards by its current owners, is on the market to let with high end Surrey estate agents Grantley. It has a heated pool and pool house, a large annexe with kitchen and shower room, a triple garage and single garage all set within 3.5 acres of landscaped gardens.

Exclusive to residents, its luxury leisure suite comprises a vitality pool, state-of-the-art gym and a sauna, complemented by a dedicated 24-hour concierge service for total convenience and practicality. Residents are also ideally situated to immerse themselves in Battersea Park’s urban oasis of beautiful gardens, trees and lakes or take for a sunset stroll along the River Thames.

The property features 5 bathrooms, a large entertaining terrace and extensive grounds that encompass a heated swimming pool with a slide as well as a tennis court.

It’s Garden Square Open Weekend

As of tomorrow it is Garden Square Open Weekend (17th -18th June), a special event that sees over 230 private and little-known gardens opened up across 27 London boroughs. With glorious weather expected, we’ve pulled together a couple of homes currently for sale with their own beautiful ‘secret’ garden that can be enjoyed in the summer sun:

Prime Place Sevenoaks, a development by ‘be’, is a stunning collection of high specification one and two-bedroom apartments less than two minutes’ walk from Sevenoaks station. From the upper floors, some of the homes benefit from far-reaching views across the North Downs, but at the heart of the development are beautifully-landscaped gardens arranged over two levels, designed by a multi Gold Medal award winner at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

From Sevenoaks to Surrey; Hartwood is a beautifully presented Georgian wing of Bradstone Brook in Shalford on the market with high end Surrey estate agents Grantley. Bradstone Brook is a magnificent Grade II Listed Georgian mansion, believed to have been built in 1791 by Thomas Gibson, a London Merchant, set in 13.5 acre gardens and grounds. This five-bedroom home boasts stunning communal gardens, complete with a waterfall, as well as a communal tennis court, swimming pool and spectacular views of St Martha’s.

Evening Standard Awards

PHM’s clients scoop five awards at the London Evening Standard New Homes Awards

The London Evening Standard New Homes Awards is always a highlight in the calendar for property industry professionals, and last Friday’s awards ceremony did not disappoint. Property House Marketing celebrated two award wins as well as three highly commended accolades, for the entries we wrote and designed on behalf of our clients back in February.

The New Homes Awards are now in their 26th year and recognise a range of new homes across the property spectrum – from first-time buyer apartments to one-off luxury mansions, and high-rise developments in city centres to countryside conversions. What makes this competition different is that the entries are decided by a panel of property experts with the help of Evening Standard readers with recent buying experience.

The ceremony was introduced by the paper’s new editor George Osborne and hosted by comedian Romesh Ranganathan. There were 13 prizes announced, with PHM’s clients receiving recognition for the following projects:

  • St Joseph’s Gate (The Chapel) by Berkeley Oxford & Chiltern won ‘Best Conversion’ as well as highly commended in the ‘Best Luxury Home’ category
  • Abell & Cleland by Berkeley Central London won ‘Best Luxury Home’
  • Woodberry Down by Berkeley North East London was highly commended for ‘Best Regeneration Project’
  • Fitzroy Gate by St James was highly commended for ‘Best London Home’

If you’ve recently completed a development or project of which you are particularly proud, now is the opportune moment to speak to us about a submission into the What House? Awards as the deadline is just weeks away.

If you’re still undecided as to whether you should be entering your developments or projects for awards this year, read our blog explaining the three reasons why awards are a valuable addition to your marketing strategy.

Terrific townhouses now available at Trinity Walk, Woolwich

A range of contemporary three-bedroom townhouses, located just a mile from the future Crossrail station in Woolwich, is now available for sale at Trinity Walk by Lovell Homes. This milestone follows on from the successful off-plan launch of the apartments earlier this year with over 65% homes in the first two buildings released already sold; many through London Help to Buy.

Trinity Walk is the first phase of a £400 million Trinity Woolwich regeneration scheme being created by development partners Lovell, asra Housing Group and The Royal Borough of Greenwich. Three ageing housing estates are being transformed into a desirable place for city living.

Jonathan Goring, managing director at Lovell Homes, said: “It’s an exciting time to be building new homes in Woolwich. The development is shaping up at such a pace that we’re opening our first showhome later this month which will enable homebuyers to see first-hand the spacious rooms and high specification a home at Trinity Walk will include. Previously, our Virtual Reality (VR) ‘immersive dome’ has been instrumental in helping potential purchasers envision the new homes.

“The technology enables homebuyers the chance to ‘walk’ around the apartments while viewing different specification options, and will continue to do so when the showhome is launched.”

The development comprises one, two and three-bedroom apartments and a collection of three and four-bedroom townhouses, a selection will be wheelchair adapted; all completed to the same high-quality specification.

The ongoing regeneration in Woolwich has already led to the delivery of new green areas, office space and amenities. The arrival of Crossrail in 2018 will provide quicker journeys into the centre of London; with 12 train services an hour, passengers from Woolwich will be able to reach Canary Wharf in eight minutes, Liverpool Street in 14 minutes and Bond Street in just 22 minutes.

Prices start from £650,000 for a three-bedroom townhouse. The one and two-bedroom apartments are priced from £320,000. To experience the in

novative Virtual Reality show apartments, visit Lovell Homes’ sales and marketing suite off Brookhill Road (SE18 6UU), which is open seven days a week from 10am – 5pm. Customers can bring Trinity Walk to life on their mobile or tablet by downloading the Augmented Reality (AR) app on www.trinitywalk-woolwich.com.

For all sales enquiries, please call Lovell Homes on 0203 247 4762.

Making commuting interesting…

Did you know, according to figures by Transport for London*, passenger numbers on the Tube reach up to 1.34 billion each year?! Now temperatures in the city are rising, it might be the perfect time to switch up the dreaded commute and opt for a breezier and less busy route to work…

Trinity Walk by Lovell Homes is situated in Woolwich, South East London which means you can fly to work via the Emirates Air Line, which provides a cable car link across the River Thames between the Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Victoria Docks. This quirky mode of transport is operated by Transport for London and the duration of a single crossing is reduced to just five minutes in rush hour. If you’re afraid of heights, why not take the River Bus Express, which operates from 20 piers between Putney and Woolwich, and now you can even use contactless or Oyster cards to pay.

The homes at Chiswick Gate, which are available through Shared Ownership with Thames Valley Housing, are conveniently located to give residents access to a wide number of cycle paths in and around Chiswick. These paths provide residents with an alternative and active route to work, and is also both economical and environmentally friendly, plus you can ride by Chiswick House and Gardens for a more scenic route.

Across London in the heart of historic Westminster, Abell & Cleland by Berkeley Homes is perfectly placed to make the most of the Cycle Superhighway, which runs from Westminster to Wandsworth. Cycling to work means you can enjoy a breezier and speedier commute, but for those who like to travel in style a helipad based on the South Bank in Battersea is within easy reach of the development, meaning you can take to the skies to avoid traffic.
