Showcased by a digital magazine, or seen by millions of commuters, Berkeley’s stylish properties get around!

On 1st February, The London Economic featured the luxurious Abell & Cleland by Berkeley Homes in its property section.

Property Editor, Bea Patel, turned attention to the launch of the final phase of apartments and a brand new show home at Abell & Cleland – a stunning new development offering a unique opportunity to own a world-class address in historic Westminster.

The next day, the Metro’s Tuesday Property supplement turned the spotlight onto another Berkeley development, Vista – aptly-named due to its stunning views of Battersea Park and beyond. Vista featured in an article on the regeneration of the Battersea area (which includes a new tube station).

PHM once again scores a hat trick of coverage in Metro

Willmott Dixon’s private residential arm enjoys prime place on the first page of the property section today with the news that its plans for 648 one to three-bedroom apartments and a new football stadium for Brentford FC, have been approved.

This new development – which will be home to the team known locally as the Bees – is already creating quite a buzz in the area with the proposed mix of apartments to rent or buy set to offer “high quality hotel-style living” and “substantial improvements to the public realm”.

Cross to the other side of London and Affinity Sutton is getting loads of press coverage for its shared ownership homes in Lewisham including a mention of Tanners Hill and Spectrum in Metro’s ‘Launch Pad’ column.

Last but by no means least Berkeley Homes (West London)’s Queenshurst development was mentioned in a feature headlined “Developments step on the gas”, which explored the trend of housebuilders converting former gasholders. The scheme, in Kingston-upon-Thames will feature a new garden square, linear park, and 315 sustainable apartments, ranging from compact studios to three-bedroom properties.

Estates Gazette Awards 2015!

We’re all waiting (with bated breath) the release of the new Absolutely Fabulous film next year and last night Joanna Lumley continued to whet our appetites as she hosted the Estates Gazette Awards 2015.

The Ab Fab star, who is no stranger to the world of development in London thanks to her Garden Bridge idea which is now becoming a realisation, looked as glamourous as ever as she announced the winners of the awards to the 850–strong audience in the Grand Ballroom of the London Hilton on Park Lane.

Following a comical intro by actor Miles Jupp, the actress puckered up for each winner that stepped up on stage to receive their accolade; it was the icing on the cake for our client Berkeley Homes which picked up the gongs for both its categories – Residential Company of the Year and, for the second year running, National Company of the Year.

Reading an excerpt from the judge’s report, ‘Voice from above’ John Briggs – who helped Joanna announce the winners, said of Berkeley’s Residential Company of the Year Win: “Berkeley Group were the judge’s outright favourite in this category. The last 12 months have shown the company maintaining a fantastic turnover and profit growth, further establishing their reputation as providers of great quality work and service. Employing 12,000 people and providing 10% of London’s affordable housing they also have a new joint venture in the pipeline that is sure to deliver future growth. ‘Berkeley, in my opinion wins the nomination by far’ said one of the judges.”
