Breaking news: Cow seen at farm!

When we ‘herd’ that the international CowParade was coming to Surrey, it was an easy decision to get involved due to our love of Guildford, and a chance to support one of our favourite charities – Challengers.

As you may have read about in our recent blog, we commissioned talented Ockham-based artist Colette Clegg to design and decorate the life-sized fibreglass cow. Despite intermittent rain threatening to delay the process, the as-yet-unnamed PHM cow was successfully delivered to Colette’s studio where it now patiently awaits the application of its fancy new coat.

As Colette’s studios are based at a farm, we hope this is the first time she’s found a cow lazily grazing in her studio!

Although the final design of the cow has been approved, it is currently being kept under wraps, so you’ll have to keep your eye on our blogs and social media to see the first unveiling of the finished design, at the Surrey County Show at the end of May.

We’ve also set up a time-lapse video camera in the studio so make sure you continue to monitor our social media channels for the video of the entire decoration process – we’re looking forward to seeing Colette in action.

We will continue to document the journey of our cow from conception to auction, so make sure you stay tuned to our blog page, Facebook, and twitter for udderly exciting updates!
